Google is going to introduce its latest creation as the competitor of Siri. As per the recent reports, Google is working on a secret project to bring Siri-like functionality over its Android devices. The project is going under the name of Majel which is reffered to late Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, from the Federation Computer from Star-Trek. As you know, that Apple has maintained it as the most competitive name in the market of smartphones. And by launching Siri, it has made iPhone 4S as the king of the smartphones and it stands far ahead when compared to its competitors. However, Google is going to give Apple a close competition by launching its voice-based technology in the market with its Android devices.
However, Google itself has not announced anything officially, but has given some hints by both means, by words and by activities. As in an interview with executive from Google, he says:
“Our approach is more like Star Trek, right, starship Enterprise; every piece of computing surface, everything is voice-aware. It’s not that there’s a personality, it doesn’t have a name, it’s just Computer.”
Other than the above statement in an interview, Google is found in some activities which shows clearly that Google is very concerned towards its latest creation to be launched. As Google has brought the Clever Sense, the maker of the Alfred recommendation app, an app that offers Siri-like feature to your iOS devices other than iPhone 4S. Well, reports say that in the early 2012, Google will enable your Android devices to run its own voice-based technology just as the close competitor to Siri.
