In our recent posts, we told you about the next big product that is iPad 3 coming in the market by Apple after launch of iPhone 4S. However, iPad 3 has been a part of the discussion for a long period of time. But, this time we bring something new about Apple. As per a report by DigiTimes, Apple is planning to bring a low range and small-sized iPad in the market with 7.85″ display after launching the iPad 3. This is definitely going to be a big hit in the market of small size tablets. Apple is expected to bring its new product at the end of the second half quarter of next year.
DigiTimes says:
Apple is likely to launch a 7.85-inch iPad prior to the fourth quarter of 2012 in addition to a new iPad scheduled to be released at the end of the first quarter, according to sources in the supply chain.
However, in order to cope with increasing market competition, including the 7-inch Kindle Fire from Amazon and the launch of large-size smartphones from handset vendors, Apple has been persuaded into the development of 7.85-inch iPads, the sources indicated.
However, there are not official announcement by Apple about its mini iPad featuring approx 8″ display. However, a source, The Taiwanese publication cites says that Apple has started even ordering from LG display and AU Optronics (AUO) in the same context.
If Apple launch a 7.85 inches iPad, this might be kept into the category of iPad Mini or iPad nano as similar to expected iPhone nano. However, the reports are just the rumors and Apple is known for being a part of the hot rumors. As you can see in case of iPhone 5 and iPhone nano. Thus, it is better to expect nothing until Apple makes some official announcement, infact, when it indeed launches its products. However, if reports are believed, then a 8″ iPad must be a top competitor for all other existing small size tablets and going to help the Apple’s share in the market of tablets. Moreover, it will be available at an affordable price.
